Duncan will be part of team Kishinoor on this year's Three Peaks Yacht
Race starting on Saturday, 19th June. The team are raising funds for
Mothers in Africa. The charity helps mothers to survive childbirth
through educating healthcare workers in the poorest countries in Africa.
It is based in the Department of Anaesthetics at the University Hospital
of Wales in Cardiff. Our target is £5k and Tullow Oil will match the
amount that we raise.
The team has a fast and well-crewed yacht (a 38' Sigma) and Duncan will
be running it with Simon Coles, his usual OMM/LAMM partner in grime. The
course comprises sailing from Barmouth to Caernarfon with a quick 27
mile trot up and down Snowdon, thence to the Lakes with a 15 mile cycle
up Ennerdale before running the 10 miles over Black Sail Pass, down to
Wasdale Head and up Scafell Pike. A quick reverse of this back to the
boat and some enjoyable sailing should lead them to sunny Fort William
and just the Ben between them and the finishing line.
If you've got a fiver/tenner/more burning a hole in your pocket then
please divert it here:

If you want to live the race viacriously through the web then our boat
will have a GPS tag and you can follow the action live here:
