Great write-up, Lucy – and a great race too! I don’t think any other Short race does anywhere near Bearnagh for packing mountains and terrain into that kind of distance.

Rob’s race win at Bearnagh gives him two outright wins in the British Championship (to go with his two outright wins in the English!). Rob’s doing really well and it would be good to see a bit more Pennine support for him in the remaining two British races. These are Moel Wnion and Arrochar, both classics and well worth racing in their own right.

Well my parents did post me off to public school ron,but as you can see i rebelled,and ended up,as my wife says”just a hairy arsed electrician”!,praps not what they quite expected..Hell ric if id have known you were reproducing such a classic on the hills i might just have run..injury an all!!
If anybody is reading this that can get in touch with rob taylor,could they tell him he can have my jura entry,sadly still have knee probs.ive tried both his phones without any luck.ive also notified graham the organiser,who informed me he was the only penn on the list now roger has in.thanks.

Daz the slug on the FRA forums pointed out a song by New model army called High.I printed out some of the lyrics and put them on my locker at work.

Derrrrr! Everyone knows moussaka is the best on the run baked meat food. Just spoon it into a cake icing piping bag before you set off and attach your nozzle of choice! Chef’s tip: If it’s a longer run you can back fill the bag with pudding e.g. tiramisu
