Life Members
Pennine has four life members, all people who have contributed a huge amount to the club over the years.
George Scott
George joined Pennine in May 1984 and completed the Coniston fell race on his first outing in a club vest. One of his favourite races is Jura, which he has completed on 21 occasions, becoming only the 11th person to receive the George Broderick Plaque, recognising this achievement, in 2017.
Andy Howie
Andy was Pennine's first club captain, holding the post for over 20 years. His in-depth knowledge of secret places on Kinder enabled him to create the original Kinder Trial navigation event. Always an enthusiastic supporter of local races, he coordinated the Hayfield Series for many years to encourage people to take part in these races.
